Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh was a city I visited in January of 2017. To be honest, I didn't really like it too much. Parents drugged their kids at times so they would appear more in need, only to see that father later on have a beer on his hand and having a good time.

One can also see ladies and ladyboys in the downtown tourist areas calling you over to have a chat. To be honest, I don't have an issue with this, though my traveling partner at the time did.

Once I left Siem Reap, I stayed in Phnom Penh for about a month and I half. I got to spend a month and a half eating local food from the Russian Market, trying local and infused foods from all over, visiting the Killing Fields, and the S21 prison turned museum.

Needless to say, I gained a whole new perspective. One could see that Phnom Penh at some point was a beautiful city full of promise.
