I heard all of these amazing stories about Suzhou. The Venice of Asia, and whatnot. To be honest, it's a pretty town, but not Venice. The Pingjiang canal is not as awe-inspiring. In fact, it's just one long stream that goes across the length of parts of the city, but the main section to enjoy the tourism aspect of it is 3 city blocks.
Another positive thing is that I got to meet Andy (Andy Chewwk). He is a Singaporean who has been living in Mainland China for the last 15 years with his girlfriend/wife. He travels all over China taking amazing photos and eating local foods. You should follow him.
I also got to meet a vlogger named BlondieinChina. We had a great time exploring for the day.
