To be honest, I try to have little expectation as to when I travel a city. The ideas I get are from watching movies, what people say, and what's in the news. My view of Morocco is that of what I had seen on movies and some YouTube views before going. I wanted to know what to watchout for and what areas to stay clear from. 

When I got to Marrakesh/Marrakech (if French) I found the location pretty authentic and in many ways the same as in movies. Obvisouly, somethings advance and infracstructure modernizes. But for the most part the Medina (Market) area remained true to my imagination.
