I've been trying to make it to Xishuangbanna since 2021. I had a colleague who visited the city and I thought it interesting. China tends to be very homogeneous about it's culture. So, to have a city that has a lot of Thai and Lao influence is very interesting.

So, below are photos from the city. It was a nice trip. The city has 4 major attractions: 1. Wild Elephant Valley 2. Primeval (Peacock) Forest Park 3. The Mekong Starlight Night Market 4. Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden.

These were the most interesting things for me to check out. There is also a night market next to the main bridge. That one is very nice, but always full.

Overall, it's a place to check out and visit in 4 days. 5 days if you just want to relax a day or two.
